Want to know more about your Medirite Pharmacist? In honour of Pharmacist Month, we asked one of our amazing pharmacists, Ansa, what she loves most about her job and what questions customers usually do not ask.

1. What do you appreciate most about being a Medirite Pharmacist?

I appreciate that I have the opportunity to build relationships with the community I serve. I strive to create a space where patients feel cared for and that they are part of our family, and not just another number.

2. In your view, what questions do you think customers do not usually ask a pharmacist? These are the questions that a pharmacist should be able to answer.

I think patients have asked just about everything: from identifying their intestinal worms to interpreting blood results (which is unfortunately not in our scope of practice). I do enjoy explaining what "high blood" (pressure) is and often offer this information voluntarily.
