1. What do you appreciate most about being a Medirite Pharmacist?
What I appreciate most about being a pharmacist, especially at Medirite, is the unique opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. It’s more than just a retail position; what truly appeals to me is ensuring that each customer feels heard, seen, and understood. It’s about acknowledging their health needs beyond just the medication and reassuring them that they are being cared for on a deeper level.
A pharmacist is often the last point in the healthcare journey, and there’s nothing worse than leaving someone feeling unvalidated or unsure. I take pride in offering that final touch of care, making sure people leave feeling confident that their health concerns have been fully addressed and that they are truly being looked after—both physically and emotionally.
2. In your view, what questions do you think customers do not usually ask a pharmacist? These are the questions that a pharmacist should be able to answer.
In my experience, many customers hesitate to ask about more general aspects of their health, like preventive care, nutrition, or managing lifestyle-related conditions. They often think a pharmacist’s role is limited to medications, but we are trained to help with much more than just prescriptions.
For instance, people rarely ask about drug interactions or how over-the-counter supplements might affect their current medication, and that’s crucial information we can provide. We can also offer advice on managing side effects, recommend alternatives for minor health issues, or even guide them toward healthier habits.
Pharmacists are an accessible healthcare resource, and we’re here to offer holistic advice that can contribute to a patient’s overall well-being.
